I’m sure it took some imagination to design. But un-propped, it takes even more imagination to guess what it is designed for. My guess is the frontwire fish-hook-like staging areas are to carry twin loads of small carded items, and face them diagonally upstream. To my mind, the design simply won’t work with a large, double-holed package. Why the long frontwire arms? To ultimately position the product staging area far forward where it can be seen, and possibly allow the arms to carry extra backstock that can be faced as needed. The center rear-mount metal plate label holder would remain highly visible if twin small packages were displayed. Not so visible for large oversize packages that span the gap.
Don’t believe anyone would angle hooks and product diagonally in the aisle? SEE “Angled Straight-Entry Scan Hook” and believe.
