Here Minimal Stock, Maxed Out Back Tags is the store’s successful strategy. A rather posh Auto Salon and Detailing Shop carries minimal inventory – only one or two of each item displayed on individual hooks but Back Tags the bejeezus out of the operation. And they restock seriously. Rarely have I ever seen an empty…
Yes, Negative Space Enhances Hooks and hook merchandising. And this commentary recently resurfaced in rankings and deserved an updated republication. Here an auto detailing salon uses massing along with “negative space” to elevate what might otherwise have been a cheap-looking display of air fresheners and related auto items. Open uncluttered space above and below gives an…
These Flatback Heavy-Duty Utility Hook with Rear Label Holder sport oversize backplates and frontwires to support weighty loads like tools, garden implements, even lawn chairs. The 90° Tips retain the hefty merchandise and reduce accidents. These specialty hooks however sport rear-mounted Metal Plate Label Holders. In price sensitive channels, the customer surely wants the price and product…
For those who love the brand, this star proves embellished parts are highly salable for Mercedes Benz®. And if you find vehicles not getting out of the way fast enough in the Autobahn Express Lane, maybe you need an illuminated, forward-facing announcement that you are coming .. standard Mercedes Benz hood ornaments are hard to…
If your miniature merchandise has unique features, like this Open Door British Automobile Union Jack Hero, shouldn’t you show them off to engage customers further? Displayed with the functioning doors open, wouldn’t passersby be drawn to check out the interior? Or do you think the cleaner, door-closed visual merchandising works best? Seen at Pier 1…
The symbol has instant recognition. Does it motivate the sale of Roadside Auto Emergency Kits would be the question addressed by this Ruff-Hewn Emergency In-Store Sales effort. This post provided specifically as a counterpoint to an earlier “sight leak” and “Backlight blasted” post. Compare both, this one without the distracting back lighting. This proves that Fixtures Close Up factually reports both sides of every fixture story. Not to mention that over time I even revisit retail locations to check on what has changed. Both…
Another problem covered by my oft maligned “sight leak” fixture examples. Backlighting can be detrimental. Here light streaming through the window destroys the visual effect of this Grid Triangular Tower. But look closely at the base only and you get the impression the display would have looked better without the backlight and a background to “plug”…
Hailing from the wilds of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains I have never seen a Tesla® SuperCharger station in person, but I expect it to look well-branded as this in-store mock-up. Would I consider a Tesla? I would absolutely compare with my other option, but wives being what they are I don’t think I could win mine over…
The slight cant on this large front-metal-plate fixture made it seem as much easel as Front-Facing Pegboard Sign Arm. A plastic signholder was mounted to the front face of the large metal plate with double-sided adhesive tape. Discovered in an office supply environment, the fixture was believed to be intended for instructions or printer cartridge selection…
