At first glance this appears to be Rowboat Ice Chest Mussels Merchandising, But on close inspection this boat has a prominent skeg or daggerboard, so must be of sailboat class. Possibly the sale was thought to obscure of interfere with the main mission: mussel merchandising, so the rigging was unrigged. Even though a sulking black color, the display called out from a distance, and the white ice inside contrasted dramatically with the hull. The sales pitch must work because the stock of mussels remaining for sale was at a minimum. This Rowboat Ice Chest Mussels Merchandising seen at Weis.
On a hot Summer day, frozen ice cream is a joy. Why not for Fido too? Here a Yoghund Cooler For Frozen Dog Treats is a fully branded for that purpose. Maybe less attractive to you is the alternate selection of “The Straight and Marrow” frozen raw bone marrow treats … but hey, think like a dog not like ahuman. The next big merchandising question might be, if human treats were in the same cooler, would you buy and eat yourself? Consider that proposition and the branded cooler in the gallery of images. Salmon, fresh or smoked, is a seafood treat made all the more enticing by a savory cross sell of Dill, hence this Iced Display for Salmon and Savory Cucumber Dill. While the red-against-iced-white Salmon alone is the focus of display attention, the Dill Sauce closes the deal by promising an unusual taste treat. The entire unit is small and mobile, capable of a seafood sale from beyond the Fish Mongers home territory in-store. Browse the fixturing and merchandising in the gallery of images. This iced display delicacy courtesy of Kings Supermarket, Bedminster, NJ.
A Double C-Channel Sign Holder for Iced Displays allows the featuring of Savory Cucumber Bill Sauce (Fresh Prepared) with ancillary capability for per pound unit pricing. See that the C-Channel Holder and info and price inserts are all matching brown. An ice-embedded stand customizes for this use, hinting other C-Channel supports exist for other uses. See a range of views of this Double C-Channel Sign Holder for Iced Displays in the gallery of images. Seen at Kings SuperMarket, Bedminster, NJ.
You may not have known it, but the better steaks that you enjoy so much are not direct from the cow. Fresh meat is not always the best meat. If the thought that your steaks are several weeks to several months old is not offsetting, you might shop Dry Aged Beef with gusto. Here the category management and even promotion is by a special Dry Aged Beef Category Definition. “Prime Steakhouse Quality” is the tag line. But fear not if your Gourmet Grocery does not focus on Dry Aged Beef to this extent. The “ordinary” steaks in the cooler case and meat department are probably several weeks old by the time they reach you anyway. Seen at Food Bazaar, Cliffside Park NJ
The lesson here might be Category Management can be as broad or as narrow as you please. You might have an entire aisle of Kimchi, tighten the focus to New York as opposed to Korean Kimchi, or go all out featuring only New York, Probiotic Kimchi in a separate cooler as here. But the obvious key is to know your market, and the categories of merchandise that will appeal. Being a Pole and rather monochromatic in my tastes, I prefer my cabbage fresh or cooked and not fermented. This Probiotic Kimchi Category Definition Cooler seen at Food Bazaar, Cliffside Park NJ

This small element of a larger Starbucks display offered good advice and showed apparent Starbucks concern your the well-being of each of its customers. It almost made coffee consumption seem good for you. But at least the Starbuck ingredients are good, and taste great no matter how good for you or how many times you consume in a day. And if your hypertension brings on a stroke, or you fall into nervous collapse from caffeine, don’t say Starbucks an the beverage industry didn’t warn you … “Everything in moderation” said the Greeks.
