Evergreen Content Marketing Validation Test Results
Evergreen Content Marketing Validation Test Results is an interesting example of the scope and breadth of this approach’s effectiveness. True, only a handful of posts are high-traffic. But the thousands of lesser but “evergreen” or continuously searched posts guarantee high levels of long-term visitorship. The test demonstrates that durable long-tail content marketing niche archives may produce more stable long-term traffic than reliance on short-lived viral spikes.
Consider the details of this test. Flights of three nearly identical doppleganger posts were launched on Monday, May 11, and Wednesday, May 13. Titles were changed only slightly to permit correct keyword ranking. Images remained identical. As posts went live, all were emailed to the subscriber list. All were broadcast to 5 channels of social media to FixturesCloseUp’s bevy of 37,437+ followers (Jan 1, 2026). If daily traffic was driven by new posts of high interest and traffic volume, one would expect the second broadcast of posts to collapse in terms of traffic level. That did not happen. Day 2 traffic varied little from Day 1.
Traffic for the Day 2 flight of three posts was 1,270 pageviews, 749 visitors. Traffic for the Day 1 flight of three posts was 1,190 pageviews, 791 visitors. The nearly identical traffic is proof positive that the ongoing popular traffic of the FixturesCloseUp site is the thousands and thousands of existing “evergreen” posts, which, while individually attracting far less traffic, together continuously bring readers.
Why then does FixturesCloseUp broadcast 3 new posts day in and day out if it affects traffic little that day? Because those posts then also become “evergreen” and join all others to maintain a high level of readership and use of FCU for fixture research. A second reason for ongoing daily posts is the author’s obsessive archival tendencies …ie, OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. How can I NOT post daily? That would be hard to imagine.
For most B2B content marketing operations, the current consensus “sweet spot” is approximately 2-5 posts weekly for efforts like social amplification (LinkedIn), and 1-4 evergreen website articles per week for long-term B2B visibility and growth. Consistency and archive depth matter more than daily publishing volume.
Consider the test posts and traffic figures below…
Wednesday, May 13, 2026
” Winner Dinner Coffin Cooler Sign Vow ”
” Better Than Expected Beef Mid-Aisle Assurance ”
” Top Shelf Beef Coffin Case Cooler Sign Promise “
Wednesday: 1,270 pageviews, 749 visitors, 1.70 views/visitor
Search Engine Referrals: 483
Monday, May 11, 2026
” Winner Winner Chicken Dinner Cooler Median Sign ”
” Not Your Average Beef Freestanding Sign ”
” A Cut Above Beef Median Cooler Sign Brag “
Monday: 1,190 pageviews, 791 visitors, 1.50 views/visitor

Notably, search engine referrals remained virtually identical on both test days, further supporting the conclusion that long-tail search traffic from existing archived content is continuously driving readership.
