The famous department store is long gone, but this Plymouth Meeting Mall Strawbridge & Clothier Vintage Seal shows that at one time it was a major magnet store here drawing customers from far and wide. After several evolutions, the remainder of the chain became part of Macy’s. The Seal of Confidence depicts William Penn shaking hand with a Lenape Indian Tribesman celebrating a never signed, but never broken early treaty. It stands for the store’s tradition of fairness and a money-back guarantee on all merchandise (See Wikipedia). This Plymouth Meeting Mall Vintage Strawbridge & Clothier Seal is part of the history and ambiance of both the Mall and retail in general.
