Though a bit difficult to determine from less than panoramic photos, this Which Way To Face A Sale Baseline example got it right. The Sales signs placed in the Mall Concourse just outside the store entry have the baseline of the word “Sale” oriented outward. So from the passersby perspective, though sideways, the word read upright with top pointing into the store. Do you attend to such seemingly minor details with your store signage.
