Knowing where the term “going postal” originated, this No Revolvers Allowed, Bring a Glock was not a surprise at a major regional post office. One assumes the regulation extends to Glocks and classic 1911 semi-automatic pistols and even long arms, though the revolver icon does not specifically spell that out. Why a classic revolver silhouette was used when semi-automatic is as well known and popular in this day and age is a puzzlement. Though the icon had meaning for me, as a revolver fan. Simplicity of design makes a revolve almost jam proof, and that is what you would want in any concealed carry or self defense weapon. This No Revolvers Allowed, Bring a Glock was obeyed and I entered the facility unarmed.
