Branded areas and segmented merchandise are what makes a Department Store departmental. But an exclusive Branded Fitting Room is a new level of possessiveness in retail outfitting. But there is a workaround. I did start by trying on Polo Ralph Lauren®, but somehow other brands snuck into the sample selection. Rather than create a scene, Ralph Lauren staff studiously ignored my transgressions. I do still ponder the lack of wordspace in the combined term “PoloRalph.” If forced to save space, I would have typeset it is “Polo RalphLauren.” What about you?
