Margarit (my wife) treasures her collection of designer purses. And if one is sick or in need of repair, she knows right where to go: Rago Brothers Leatherworks Designer Repair, 120 Speedwell Avenue, Morristown, NJ. Service at the front of the store is casual, because the majority of business is shipped in by designer names direct to Rago through the back door. Hundreds of designer name brand items (Balenziaga, Burberry, Chanel, Coach, Dior, Fendi, Ferragamo, Givenchy, Gucci, Hermes, Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Longchamp, Louis Vuitton, MCM Worldwide, Michael Kors, Prada, Tory Burch, Versace and more) are repaired each day behind the quiet company storefront.
FixturesCloseUp (via my wife) managed to snag a “no questions” tour of the hidden operations. And while I cannot share with you the secret tools and techniques used behind the scenes, I did manage to chronicle this company front-of-store branding. Careful if you visit. While very cordial, Rago Brothers is also all business … because they almost have more inbound from designers than they can deal with. Just ask for Tony or Tom, the proprietors to see if the “no questions asked” tour is still available. If the mood is right, you might get one too.
