Obviously the Backplate is the weak link in this Faceout-to-Backplate-to-Grid structural assembly. The cross-woven grid of short 3-4” centers becomes as sturdy as a solid wall. The tubular faceout profile is way over-designed for any potential retail load. But with the lever arm of the Faceout length, the Backplate is “between a rock and a hard place” and is the first to fail. The merchandising load alone would not do it. I suggest kids or customers hanging on your display.
