I can understand that Pallet Shipment required rugs to be vertical. And while dominating the aisle, even I would hesitate to try to fish one out for purchase. And as the inventory is sold I can only imagine the display becoming more and more unstable. Diagonal side rails and a lower-height front do help, but store material handling has faced the access side away from the aisle not toward it.
