Actually the headline is my adman hyperbole to grab your attention and get you involved in the evolution (or possibly transformation) of your favorite trade organization. Are you Association for Retail Environments? Are you Point-of-Purchase Advertising International? Would you like to be both? Read the press release “A.R.E., POPAI Boards Agree To Pursue Merger” and make sure you stay involved in the changes ahead. What do I think? As a fixture industry executive and a life-long advertising man I stand firmly and unequivocally astride the middle ground in no-man’s-land. With the ability to conjure statements like that, I really should be working at the United Nations or State department, don’t you think?
