Either an amazing amount of creative and production effort went into the creation of this antique-appearing clothing tag, or Polo Ralph Lauren’s historical stash of merchandising items stretches far, far earlier than the cited 1967 founding date shown. To me this style seems even 50 years older. But it is wonderful and eye-catching merchandising accessory with old time quality and attention to detail not seen today. Notice the twin grommet and rough natural twine tie. Also appreciate several seeming hand stamped additions to the tag, like the size, 34×32, stamped in red. Details, detail, details.
