Maybe it is my age, but this fixture bracing conjures mental images of the LEM, the Lunar Exploration Module, from the hey day of the Apollo Moon Missions. Maybe the patent on the wide-spread, load-bearing legs ran out and IKEA® grabbed the concept. It does imply that just maybe this carpet display system is not permanent, and could be relocated within the store. The legs keep upright and stable, and reduce any need for wall anchors.
