My best guess was that slot-mount displays for Nook allowed the various models to be slid next to each other for comparison or easy cross-sell. The slotted table wouldd accept many more display stands, and possibly could be repurposed for other merchandise. I wonder if the position and angle of the Nooks was calibrated for best readability and visual effect in-store.CLICK the gallery for various perspectives.
