The title and use for this receptical, “Trash,” is KO’d (Knock’d Out) out of the plastic surface along with the access port itself. As long as you were casting or injection molding the lid with a hole, why not create a distinctive, molded-in identifier? A bit visually recessive, but a very nice upscale touch to trash.
