Sorry that one of the world’s most impressive brands, Louis Vuitton, becomes the visual whipping boy here by way of wire service photo, but the story is what’s important. If we all pay a premium for “Luxury” and “Accessible” Brands, shouldn’t we expect that they are manufactured to a higher standard including environmentally? Read the story courtesy of Greenpeace, Huffington Post and Reuters at “Pollutants Found in Children’s Clothing From Multiple Luxury Fashion Brands, Greenpeace Says.” And please don’t blame it all on Louis Vuitton, but do email you favorite brand or design house and express a position … then vote with your Luxury dollars.
Also consider if the store uses eco-friendly fixtures and sustainable design. “Nuff said” … as Tony gets off his high horse.
