Answer: the twin arms spread the soft-sided book carriers to show off the designs. The price required more polish in the presentation, so no simple, single-arm would do. A very nice, solid, intriguingly orange-rust hued, powdercoated fixture. And one more instance of the fixture working WITH the product to close the sale.
