The industry and stock market have dis’d poor JCPenny for some time. I cannot comment on the marketing strategy and attempt to refocus from a middle aged, sale-oriented client base to a younger, trendier, low-price-always base. But I do think JCP has created some marvelous in-store displays and fixture applications. So to me the Display and Design departments are tops. Sadly JCP stock value has fallen so far as to get it removed from the S&P 500. See the economic news at HuffingtonPost “J.C.
