For many items, this may be true, they may be stocked at more than one location in the store. But for some items I think not, unless in this case consumer electronics and consumer durables are the same animal. Still this Back Tag accomplishes its purpose of not immediately losing the sale by pointing shoppers to a Sales Asssociate for help and possible cross sell. The nearby Scan Hook Label information guides as to what product is out of stock. Not the ICC (Inventory Control Clip) which positions the tag well forward.
