Hook Finial Resists Theft

This button-size frontwire finial is sized just a bit larger than the hole in the tear-resistant carded merchandise. So the fixture design resists but not necessarily thwarts “sweeping” … the mass theft of all items on the hook. To allow purchase, a slit in the card allows items to be tugged down or off the hook … which in the case of a handful of cards would require a significant “jerk.” So the theory is to make it awkward, inconvenient, and highly visible to steal in that manner. Staff should spot a thief’s awkward movements in the process. Fear of such notice is a deterrent. Hooks are threaded into the display surface, but you may nevertheless find Plug-In and Bayonet-Mount fixture threads far below informative.
