Fixtures Close Up is my personal Social Media laboratory. As such its use and effects echo through the ether via RSS Feed, Twitter, Email Subscriptions, LinkedIn Groups, Pinterest Pins, Search Engine results, etc, etc, etc, ad infinitum. Imagine my surprise to be counted among the top 1% of Profiles researched on LinkedIn … research that could only be driven by denizens of the internet wondering “Exactly who is this strange store fixture reviewer?” So there is something to this Social Media after all, particularly if one can make a name writing about mere pegboard hooks, label holders, retail branding and visual merchandising in closeup detail. The lesson to be learned is that you too can leverage your interest and expertise in any field on the internet. My goal has been to use the experience as a marketing laboratory to determine what works in the field of retail fixturing … and to show that a traditional, old-school “Mass Media Advertising Manager” like myself can also apply advertising principals to succeed at “Inbound Marketing.” CLICK the thumbnail for details on LinkedIn participation.
