These micro J-Hooks struck a responsive cord and looked very familiar. See “J-Hooking Jewelry via Slot” for the same design on a slotted surface. Upon cross referencing they are from the same well-respected department store chain, different locations. But obviously someone is on the ball, specifying hooks that work across different displays and store locations. Note how extreme the wrap around and run-back of the “J.” I suspect that these hooks have minor anti-theft capability in requiring a perp to gingerly thread each item around the bend. A good strategy in a much larger hook, but less effective in these micro hooks which can lift out of the panel and drop right in a purse. READ the Chain Store Age produced whitepaper “Cut Theft”, and in particular the center-spread sidebar, for ways to defeat the electronic sensors, now that one has the micro-J and jewelry in your purse.
