Recycling CFLs No Tubes Please

Fluorescent bulbs have coatings that are not eco- or organism-friendly. Finally with the advent of small-size, consumer oriented CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Bulbs) it seems economical to create a recycling stream for these items. But the station warns “Bulbs Only.” I assume it is because of Bin size limitations, not a basic difference in materials. If you know this to be otherwise, please leave a comment.
