Readership Continues to Climb in Spite of Stock Slowdown.
I have never tracked the two in tandem, but logically there should be a positive correlation between stock market performance, and readership of retail fixture blogs. After all if the economy booms, stocks increase with resultant “wealth effect” causing retail sales to grow, with fixture investment and research (that is FixturesCloseUp readership) following. But regardless of stocks, bonds, gold or the Euro, FixturesCloseUp readership continues to trend upward reaching 1,026 Tuesday May 22, 2012 alone. Hopefully it’s the fixtures that are the leading economic indicator for stocks rather than vice versa.
