Powdercoated Faceouts are sometimes top-armored with chromed rails to prevent scratching. But modern powdercoat is well nigh as durable as chrome, and more “Green” and environmentally friendly. In addition, many store hangers are plastic, so what danger do they present to even tougher epoxy powdercoat? Still, as a Fixture Details site I cannot ignore the many Armored Faceout designs that exist. Pictured is a taxological smattering.
Do you use armored facets? Do you find they are still necessary in an age of eco-friendly yet tough powdercoat and plastic hangers? Help us all out by leaving a comment on what you experience in your chain.
