On a slow fixture news day I can always resort to commenting on components lost in the bottom of the fixtures grab bag like Rabbit Ears, Auto ICC’s and Shams. Here Rabbit Ear ICC’s (Inventory Control Clips) are compared with Auto-Placement ICC’s and a Sham, though many other shapes and varieties exist. I favor Rabbit Ear ICC’s because the “ears” allow easiest placement on hook frontwires of various gauges (wire diameter). One Sham obviously fits various hook diameters, but I find these a bitch to set and remove. Auto-placement ICC’s are the latest in hi-tech store fixture accessories. These can be automatically placed on your hook by the wire forming machine saving time and effort over store setup. Laugh you may, until you consider the cost of ICC’ing 10,000, 50,000 or 100,000 hooks across your chain. For small orders stick with the Rabbit.
