Is this creative cross selling or wishful thinking. Here printer cartridges are the adjacency to new printer sales. Most of us might expect a free cartridge with the spanking new printer. Another block of users would say, “Let me try the printer first.” But yeah, I admit a proportion of buyers might say “I better get an extra ink cartridge now.” So upon reflection maybe this makes a great deal of sense. Why no cross sell on paper? Because according to some sources printer ink costs more that fine champagne. Why push “dago red” paper when you can profit from champagne ink sales?
