No I don’t think they were shipped this way. These are pies from a warehouse club bakery, fixtured for the moment with every wooded pallet from the warehouse. Now THIS adds informality and immediacy to a display. But does it add appeal and tickle ones taste buds? One must consider the environment and its marketing imperatives in choosing a merchandising approach (and fixtures). As an aside know that many of these warehouse club pies are simply delicious, regardless of how the display looks.
