These two fixtures were observed practically as you see them in an area being reset. I have seen both hook designs before. Which backplate design do you think would protect your display surface better? Which finish seems clean and attractive? Which would you prefer in your store, and which would your customers be more pleased to be served by? I cannot say that the difference is age of fixture. Examples of both were equally numerous, and I have never seen the zinc plating of the hook design on the right deteriorate to the point of that on the left, even when old. “Caveat emptor” would seem to apply to fixture acquisitions as with other real property.
Also SEE “Ideas Wanted: Retail Guard Rail” for documented of failure of the backplate on the left.
