A faceout failure that I have to attribute to abuse by customers hanging on the hook. The fixture itself seems to have been of good quality — the weld did not fail and there is only a hint of failure of the backplate as evidenced by reflection cracks in the powdercoat finish. The placement of the faceout is immediately adjacent to a vertical support (photo right) and the unit top. These elements reinforced the slatwire itself, keeping it from distorting under the load. Damage was confined to the replaceable faceout only.
