Here a shallow metal tray is seemingly suspended in mid-air on a freestanding metal rod and base. This Pedestal Exploits Jagged Rock being filled with crushed stone, as befits the nearby Appalachian Trail, is not only aesthetic but reinforces the rugged nature of the Timberland boots.
