Ordinary totes take the place of formal bins in retailing travel size and convenience portion items. The totes are equally functional, add a wall of color, contrast with the items on sale, and provide a sense of immediacy that says “buy me now.” A seasonal promotion, label holders were simple clear vinyl pouches with split ring like snap-closers. They were not quit as effective or durable, but mostly survived the season. This concept rolled out in a specialty chain in 2008. But a good idea is a good idea, regardless.
